2K eventually yielded over WWE 2K20’s horrific debut, promising updates are on the way. Since WWE 2K20 launched, the game became viral gold, unfortunately all for the wrong reasons.

Gameplay videos revealing strange glitches and surprising bugs have become viral on social media, undoubtedly contributing to the # FixWWE2K20 hashtag trending on Twitter in the United States. WWE 2K20 is the first title in the main franchise developed by Visual Concepts, the U.S studio responsible for the NBA games. Prior to this admission, Visual Concepts and Yuke’s Japanese Studio co-developed the WWE titles.

While social media relished on the insane glitches being submitted, publisher 2K kept quiet until the WWE Games Twitter account released a statement late Friday, October 25.

In the released statement from the WWE games official Twitter account, 2K announced the company is working on fixes and players can reasonably expect a patch out within two weeks.

“We are listening closely to the feedback that’s been shared regarding WWE 2K20 and are aware of the concerns some players are reporting,” reads the statement. “We’re working hard to investigate these concerns and address them as necessary. We expect to have an initial patch ready in the next two weeks, with others to follow. Stay tuned WWEGames social media channels for more information.”
