Chapter 2 of Fortnite officially launched last week, boasting a wealth of changes to the prominent Battle Royale game, including how players can level up their Battle Pass. Although developer Epic believed that these improvements made it easier to level this season, most players found the exact opposite is true, although these problems at present seem to have been resolved.
Fortnite’s v11.01 update is now available, and while Epic has again opted not to publish patch notes, Reddit gamers have reported that the amount of XP you can receive for completing certain tasks has increased dramatically. Until now, you could gain 24,000 XP from the daily punch cards in Fortnite, but that figure has now been raised to 96,000 after the patch, while weekly challenges bag players 520,000 XP rather than 140,000.
This time, besides completing challenges, you can earn XP and medals to carrying out certain activities while playing, like eliminating opponents, farming materials, and more. You can even earn an accomplishment if the ultra-rare Mythic Gold Fish kills you – Yes a fish that can and will 1-hit kill you!
The changes will not only help players unlock more goodies from Fortnite Chapter 2, but this equally gives players an appreciably better chance of hitting tier 100 before the end of the season. A change that’s much needed given the news that Chapter 2, Season 1 will end on December 12, Shorter than normal.
