Players have the opportunity to see their creations within Fortnite Battlegrounds On A Block At Risky Reels

What appeared to be a rendering problem with Risky Reels not loading buildings or any of the assets, is in fact, not a rending problem at all. It is what it appears to be, a block. Donald Mustard, creative director of Fortnite for Epic Games, confirmed at The Game Awards that Fortnite Risky Reels is replaced by a block.

Elaborating on the block, the Fortnite team went into detail why the empty block in Risky Reels exists, and it is all to do with Fortnite newly introduced Creative Mode.

Fortnite will be displaying user-created content that has been designed in the Creative Mode on the block at Risky Reels. The user-created content will be chosen by a voting system that will be displayed within Fortnite Battleground for users to visit and explore for a limited time. The current user-created content will then be replaced by another user’s creation rotating all the time.

It’s time to a #FortniteBlockParty! The most exciting and imaginative islands built in Creative will be featured on the “The Block” in the Battle Royale map. Can you create something that will inspire the world? Will you become Fortnite Famous?

Before you submit your created content there are a few guidelines you must follow for the content to be accepted.

You must develop your design on a flat section of your island within the Creative Mode and must be within a 25 x 25 tile area. This is to ensure the user-created content fits perfectly on the block at Risky Reels.

You also must try and keep the Memory Used below 50,000 which will help keep Fortnite Battleground efficient and cause no performance issues.

One final note is that you do not have to add chests, floor loot or vehicles spawn, Epic Games themselves will decide the product placements. Otherwise, if left to users, they can have it so there are 50 chests in one room which will negatively impact the game and will be no fun at all.

That’s it! Other than the above requirements, any creation that respects our Creative code of conduct is fair game. We encourage you to share your creations with your friends and on social media using the #FortniteBlockParty. We’ll be looking closely at social for candidates. The Block Party begins now… start building!
