Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 is officially here and after the 12.00 update on Thursday, February 20, Epic Games has implemented a variety of modifications to the game’s map.
After the game’s most extended season yet, Epic Games released their new season ‘Top Secret, ‘ focusing on a squad of secret agents who are likely to play a key role in the game’s development.
Like always, with the release of Season 2, Epic Games has made a handful of significant changes to the battle royale map, that has plenty of new locations to visit, including a yacht, and some secret bases for the new agents whom have taken over the world of Fortnite.
The map of Fortnite Season 2 is shown below. A number of areas have been extended and improved, such as the middle island that has a large base on it, an underground helipad on the map’s east coast and a facility that’s appeared off the south-west coast around Slurpy Swamp.
Fortnite Season 2 New Map Locations
The Grotto
Among the most exciting new features to the Fortnite map is an underground helicopter pad, located on the island’s eastern coast. A tremendous hole in the ground has formed, with players ready and willing to jump down and discover the new location. Deep beneath the hole that’s formed, players will find a large helipad surrounded by water. Providing even more evidence that we can expect to see Helicopters enter Fortnite Season 2.
The Rig
An Oil Rig has also surfaced on the map’s south-west side, positioned just off the bottom of the map near Slurpy Swamp. The location consists of two platforms connected together by a bridge, with enormous cranes on either side.
The Yacht
There is furthermore a yacht floating in the water allowing players to land here and inspect the luxurious boat whilst bringing enemies down on the high seas like battleships.
The Shark
In the top-left corner of the map, there is additionally a new structure on the cluster of islands, with a modern building emerging alongside a huge shark head made out of rock.
The Agency
Agents’ headquarters is the last major POI that’s been added to the Fortnite map. Found right in the center of the new map on a small island where all the rivers meet. Just like every typical Hero/Villian HQ, The Agency sports a large conspicuous multistory building, a helipad and some smaller buildings surrounding the area. Maybe this location is where Deadpool spends his days?
