Here’s a peek at all the fresh Fortnite fish in chapter 2 season 4

What a start to the new season! A new Battle Pass, exciting locations, and Marvel inspired Mythic items to find, plus new exotic fishes! Ever since fishing was introduced to the game back in Oct 2019, it’s always been luck based with no real incentive to risk fishing mid game. In Season 4 however, Epic has introduced a new fishing rod to improve odd of receiving better fishes, added a large collection of exciting fishes, along with a fishing book for players to see which fish they have landed and detailed information.

Players can get a pro fishing rod by using an upgrade bench to improve it. Normal fishing rods can still catch the new fishes below, however, you’ll have more luck if you upgrade the rod to a pro.

The season update featured many new fish, some of which are currently unobtainable. Let’s look at all of the fresh fish that we know so far.

All Fortnite Season 4 New Fish

The Fortnite Hop Flopper fish is practically a hop-rock. You can achieve low gravity for a fleeting amount of time once you consume it. There is a stack size limit of max. 3. The Hop Flopper fish is Epic rarity.

Jellyfish is a rare fish which provides health and shields to nearby players immediately after it’s squeezed. You can carry no more than 3 of these. It seems as though you are going to get 20 health and shields per Jellyfish.

A number of leaks had emerged weeks before the season began. One of them being the arrival of the Midas fish. While the fish was added to the new season, you can’t get it in the game right now. It potentially will be available in the next big update. What we do understand is all of your inventory will become legendary after you eat the Midas fish. See what the fish looks like here:

If you eat the Thermal Fish, you’ll “see everything” For a short time you will have thermal vision and can see through buildings and objects. Again, these results are just for a short amount of time, but we’re not sure how long. A legendary fish with a maximum stack size of 2.

As far as we know, there is currently no Vendetta flopper available to get in-game. If the fish is consumed, you’ll mark a nearby opponent. There is no detail as to how long the enemy will be marked for, nor is there anything that tells us how far or near an enemy is expected to be marked for. The fish has a total maximum of 2 stacks.
