Season 9 has brought with it drastic changes to keep the game fresh. Warping players into the future, it’s no surprise that certain items will no longer fit with the current story progression and style. Let’s take a look at the casualties that have been hung in the Fortnite Season 9 Vault.
Many items have been vaulted since the launch of Fortnite Battle Royale, not all of them for the same reasons. Some items are too strong, some no longer fit with the game style and others have lost their usefulness with new items replacing them. Before we dive into what items have been vaulted in Fortnite Season 9, here’s what’s new!
Fortnite Season 9 New Weapons
In previous seasons Epic Games have introduced many new items at the start of the season, in season 9 however, just one weapon has been added. The Combat Shotgun.
This semi-automatic shotgun holds 10 Shells and fires an impressive 9 pellets per shot. Epic Game has stated that the Combat Shotgun has a “tight spread and rapid-fire rate.”
While not new, Grenades have been released from the Weapons Vault and given a chance to shine once more.
Fortnite Season 9 Vaulted Weapons
Regrettably, there are many casualties as a result of Fortnite Season 9, most prominent is Pump Shotguns. The weapon has been at the heart of many players arsenals but due to the introduction of the Combat Shotgun, the Pump Shotgun is no longer required. The removal of the Pump I’m sure will anger many fans. The Combat Shotgun has BIG shoes to fill.
Clingers have also been pushed aside in favor of Grenades at least for the time being. The other items vaulted in Fortnite Season 9 are:
- Buried Treasure
- Scoped Revolver
- Thermal Assault Rifle
- The Poison Dart Trap
- Suppressed Assault Rifle
Keep in mind. Many items have been vaulted in the past only to reemerge at a more appropriate time. Therefore, just because an item is gone for now, doesn’t necessarily mean they are gone for good.
