Zero Point Explosion
With every brand-new season, Fortnite map undergoes radical map changes which are typically caused by some disastrous event. Season X event begins when an orb blast sending Jonesy back in time, reminiscing all past event before stopping at a time when the meteorite destroys Dusty Depot.
The Zero Point Explosion has inadvertently caused a time ripple effect where locations once thought to be lost during numerous catastrophic events following the meteorite shower are beginning to appear. Users will experience partial map changes where the past and present will merge together, creating an alternate version of the Fortnite scenery.
In the first of many ripple effects, Dusty Deport has appeared back on the Fortnite map along with some minor changes replacing Dusty Divot. The meteorite that destroyed Dusty Depot is seen in suspended animation, marking the starting point of Zero Point.
Looking closer to the surrounding area of the newly returned Dusty Depot, you will be able to notice some sort of circular zone. Everything inside this Zone seems to be affected by Zero Point, a shift in time where past buildings and scenery will start bleeding into the present.
Our understanding is that the circular Zone will move from time to time all around the map, causing other destroyed buildings or scenery to reemerge. Leaks have identified, the circle will move towards Tilted Towers where the area will be restored to what it once was before specifics events destroyed parts of the area. Although the time ripple may have altered it.
