The Mortal Kombat 11 Old Skool Vs New Skool trailer shows a small segment of the new version of Jax in MK11 and yes, he still has his metal arms! We are able to see some of Jax story mode whom he shares some scene with his daughter, Jacqui Briggs and doppelganger. Where he performs the new alteration of his iconic move, “Gotcha” Grab.
When performing “Gotcha” grab, Jax metal arms glow red hot like molten larva and each punch looks as if the opponent feels every one of them. Creating a more realistic movement and physics than ever in Mortal Kombat gameplay.
Lui Kang Fatal Blow and In-game Gameplay
The trailer seems to have confirmed Lui Kang as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 11. Revealing some of Lui Kang’s in-game skills and a small glimpse of his Fatal Blow.

Lui Kang is one of the game original characters who enters the Mortal Kombat tournament to save Earthrealm. The Shaolin Monk is recognized for his acrobatic skills, martial arts and dragon fireballs.
Near the end of the trailer, we see Lui Kang perform his iconic flying kick on another original character, Raiden. Although we don’t get to see his fireball moves, we do see Lui Kang control the fire elements in both of his hands.
If you look closely in the footage, we saw Lui Kang inner animal, the giant firey Dragon which appears to be Lui Kang’s Fatal Blow in Mortal Kombat 11. This closely resembles Lui Kang’s animality which was introduced in Mortal Kombat 3.
Kung Lao Fatality
Similar to Lui Kang, part of Kung Lao and Lui Kang story in Mortal Kombat 11 shown as the two come up against Mortal Kombat 11 newest character Geras. Fans will appreciate a small nod at Kung Lao Fatality in previous Mortal Kombat games, the section of the footage where Kung Lao decapitates Geras, before Geras bend time and he becomes whole again.
We do however get a glimpse of his new Fatality prior to his encounter with Geras, showing off Kung Lao impressive abilities with his famous hat.
Is that Kitana!… Blink and you will miss her. Kitana appears in the footage with her infamous fans. It appears it is a clip of Kitana intro which may confirm she will be a playable character in Mortal Kombat 11.
