Prestige Edition Skin First Introduction
It was only last week that LoL updated to patch 9.18 when Riot Games introduced Star Guardian Neeko Prestige Edition Skin, and now we are going to receive another in a brief amount of time. And it’s all down to how the first Prestige Edition skin was introduced to the world.
Devoted fans from all over the world tuned in to eagerly watch Invictus Gaming take the crown at the Worlds 2018. At the closing ceremony, Riot Games unveiled a new set of skins, along with their very own produced song K/DA Pop/Stars. The song and skins instantly became a global success, taking Riot Games to new heights.
In addition, champion Kai’Sa received an alternative look for her new K/DA skin, K/DA Prestige Edition Skin. An ultra-rare skin that can only be unlocked by World Tokens or by a very slim chance obtained through Hextech Boxes.

Whilst the World 2018 tournament was being played, League of Legends game also had its own World Event. Players could complete World event-related missions to earn World Tokens and try to get their hands on the Prestige Edition Skin. The skin was limited to the event and disappeared once the event was over, losing your biggest chance to grab the skin.
Due to the success and demand of the now-iconic skins, Riot Games have since developed several other Prestige Edition skins. Some tied to limited-time-only events like Kai’Sa and others by Prestige Points.
The start of the Worlds 2019 is less than a month away and it is only fitting to see an exclusive Prestige Edition skin from a tournament that first introduced them.
Now you probably are thinking, what about Neeko Prestige Edition skin? Neeko skin can be currently unlocked by 100 Prestige Points, and our understanding is Riot Games would like to introduce a Prestige Edition skin specifically for the Worlds 2019 event.
Valiant Sword Riven Prestige Edition Skin
Riven’s Prestige Edition Skin outfit has a new golden crown with her hair tied up in a bun. Including the tradition gold and white palette associated with Prestige Edition Skins.
Expect the same new model and textures and animations to that of her ordinary Valiant Sword Riven Skin but with gold particle effects.
We expect the skin will be tied to the Worlds 2019 event and require anywhere between 2000-2500 World Tokens. Due to being on PBE, this is subject to change.
