Following the example of Ninja and Shroud, the third Twitch streamer named Cory “King Gothalion” Michael is quitting the streaming platform for Microsoft’s Mixer.

Micheal may not be as internet famous as the previous two gains for Mixer, but he does have over 1 million followers currently on Twitch. Mostly streaming Destiny 2 and Borderlands 3, if his fans stay loyal and follow him on to Mixer, it will be yet another major blow to Twitch.

Michael released a video justifying the decision, highlighting the value of having “platform-level input.

Working closer with Microsoft and Xbox is not only gonna help us propel what we’re doing,” Michael states, “but help us propel what’s always been important to the channel, which is doing good in gaming. Everything from helping broadcasters establish themselves, mentoring growing broadcasters, raising money for charity.

As of October 29, Michael will stream solely on Mixer, but he says he will still feature on streams broadcast on other networks as a guest participant.
