Katarina, Master Yi, and Tryndamere are indeed the newest champions in League of Legends to join the Blood Moon collection.
To properly honor the Blood Moon the three champions put on red robes and demon-themed masks. To celebrate the Blood Moon, all three champions had put on crimson robes and demon-themed masks. As usual, some sweet looking weapons, as well as other red glowing effects, have been awarded to them.
The skin line, which centers on cult followers who fused with demons during Blood Moons, is one of the game’s largest to date. The cultists are Akali, Shen, Yasuo, and several other human-like champs, whereas the demon-like champions, like Aatrox and Evelynn, portray the demon. The initial lore was that Shen and Akali put on a play for a festival in Ionia, but has since altered to include demons and cultists specifically instead.
These skins will likely release after patch 10.4 goes live, with several icons and other goodies to go along with the skins. All three Blood Moon skins are currently priced at 1350 RP (subject to change).
Blood Moon Katarina
“An honored priestess of the Blood Moon cult, merged with the flesh of her demon as all priestesses are fated to be. Yet the descent of the Blood Moon has changed the nature of demons and humankind, and Katarina has begun her ascent into a newer, darker form.”
Blood Moon Master Yi
“The cultists of the Blood Moon have begun a dread metamorphosis, as the boundary between the demon realm and the human world is rapidly erased. Yi is among those first blessed by this new darkness, the demon within his blade arm driving him to ever greater spectacles of violence.”
Blood Moon Tryndamere
“The demon Tryndamere has fully assumed control over his twinned human body, using its inhuman strength to slash gaping wounds in the veil between the human and demonic realms. Shrugging off wounds considered fatal even to other demons, he is an unstoppable, unquenchable rage that would see all things consumed by the Blood Moon.”
