Mortal Kombat 11 DLC Characters
Users have begun uploading footage of Mortal Kombat 11 on various social media outlets, especially on YouTube, revealing in-game gameplay of the final version.
Warner Bros. has been working relentlessly shutting down videos on copyright grounds, but in the age of social media, once a piece of media is out on the web it’s almost impossible to prevent it from spreading.
Although Frost is not part of the DLC leak, Gameplay footage of the yet to be revealed character was leaked. It appears she will be an unlockable character, obtained by progressing through the story mode of Mortal Kombat 11. You can see a clip below before it gets blocked.
Dataminers, who are lucky enough to receive the game, have been combing through Mortal Kombat 11 datafiles trying to unearth worthwhile pieces of information. Files shared by dataminers on social media have identified references to nine DLC characters.
It does not confirm that any of these characters will make an appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 or whether the data are official. However, other dataminers have checked themselves and confirmed they too have the same data.
Excluding Shang Tsung as the character has already been confirmed by NetherRealm as a DLC character there are additional eight DLC Characters.
Even though there are data referencing these characters, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will be used. It very well could be testing data, to see if characters like Joker would fit within the new Mortal Kombat scene.
Sheeva is certain to be confirmed as DLC as she makes an appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 official launch trailer.
You may recognise two more characters within the footage, Cyrax and Sektor who are cybernetic ninjas. However, they do not appear on the DLC list. We can only presume they will be unlockable characters just like Frost.
In other leaks, you can see Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay on the Nintendo Switch, although there is a degrading of graphics quality due to hardware limitations of the Switch, it still performs at 60 fps.
