Community Day event will last a full weekend and will feature all Pokemon that have ever appeared during the special event

To celebrate a year’s worth of community days, Niantic, the man who released Pokemon Go to the world has decided to make the upcoming community day event even more special. The Pokemon Go community day in December will last longer and offer more rewards. The event lasts a full weekend and will feature every species of Pokemon that ever been chosen for the community day event. Plus, there are extra bonuses as well.

Every month Pokemon Go has a community day event that provides players with the opportunity to capture a specific Pokemon species, this also includes the Pokemon evolution form as well. However, there is a downside; the event only provides a three-hour window to catch as many Pokemon of the chosen species as they can. The Pokemon caught during this event have other advantages, during the event the specific species also know a special move. These special moves are more powerful than the typical moves and will give you an advantage during raids and gym battles. This is also a good way to gather up Pokemon candies.

As the community day in December is special, instead of the three-hour window as you routinely get, you have a full weekend (two and a half days). Not only will it feature every Pokemon species that has been chosen, but it will additionally have a limited pool of Pokemon that will appear more frequently.

Pokemon That Will Appear More Frequently

  • Bulbasaur
  • Charmander
  • Squirtle
  • Pikachu
  • Eevee
  • Dratini
  • Chikorita
  • Cyndaquil
  • Mareep

  • Beldum

Extra Bonuses

Extra bonuses during this special event will include double catch XP, double catch stardust and double incubator effectiveness. During this time you will also be capable to capture more shiny Pokemon.
