When is February Community Day in Pokemon Go?
The event will take place on 16th February 2019 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (GMT + 0) for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India. Americas and Greenland are scheduled for 16th February 2019, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8) and Asia-Pacific are on 16th February 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. JST (GMT +9).
Swinub is the featured Pokémon during the February Community Day event, so you will see a lot more Swinub out in the wild. Some cases you will be lucky enough to encounter a Shiny Swinub. You will need to capture Swinub a few times if you want to evolve Swinub into Piloswine who in turn evolves into Mamoswine. To receive Shiny Piloswine or Shiny Mamoswine, you need to capture a Shiny Swinub and then evolve it.
This will be a perfect opportunity to collect and evolve Swinub if you are looking for a Pokémon who specializes in Ground-type moves or Ice-type moves. The move types may be what you are looking for to be super effective against Raid Bosses that are vulnerable to ice and ground.
