The Pokemon anime’s new series launches in Japan this month, and for the very first time, we’ll get to see Ash’s Pikachu as a Pichu. The Pichu in the teaser is said to be the Pikachu that has been traveling with Ash for over 20 incredible years.
The first episode is titled ‘Pikachu’s birth’ which focuses on baby Pikachu’s adventures before meeting his dearest friend and trainer. The new series faithfully follows the adventures of Ash in the Alola region where he ultimately became champion of the Pokemon League in another yet another series first.
The successful show’s synopsis reads:
“In a forest somewhere in Kanto, there once was a lonely Pichu. This Pichu – who was still quite young – had a certain encounter and farewell. This took place shortly before Ash and his partner Pikachu started travelling together. This is the beginning of the anime “Pocket Monster.”
The upcoming first episode of the new Pokémon series will begin on November 17 with an exclusive special broadcast on TV Tokyo in Japan at 5:30 p.m. The final episode of Pokémon Sun and Moon will be broadcast on November 3.
