Once the harbinger doom, the scarecrow has leapt from the shadows, reborn as the Ancient Fear.
After months in the making, Riot Games have released the revamped Fiddlesticks to the rift. Fiddlesticks transformation has seen him receive new visuals, new VFX, new skills and a new title, The Ancient Fear. Spreading fear amongst his enemies.
The scarecrow is not quite ready for the live version; however, he will be making his return during LoL next patch update 10.7, scarier than ever.
Fiddlesticks The Ancient Fear Skills
Passive – A Harmless Scarecrow
Trinkets are replaced by Scarecrow Effigies. Just likee trinkets they level up as Fiddlesticks levels, reducing cooldowns and increasing their duration with every level gained.
At Level 6, Effigies are upgraded that will reveal nearby wards for 6 seconds on placement. Acting like a modified pink ward.
Scarecrow Effigy: Stores one charge every 90 seconds, holding up to a maximum of two charges.
Placing Scarecrow Effigy appears exactly as Fiddlesticks, granting vision to an area until an enemy is in close proximity where it will activate the effigy. Causing the Scarecrow effigy to fake a random action after which the effigy will fall apart. Yes, the effigy will sometimes flash, fooling his victims.
Effigies will last for 180 which is increased with every level with a maximum duration of 280 seconds. At Level 6 Scarecrow Effigy can reveal nearby wards for 6 seconds upon placement.
Q Skill – Terrify
Once Terrify has been learnt, it will unlock the Terrify passive ability. This will grant Fiddlesticks the ability to fear his enemies for 1 Second with any one of his skills as long Fiddlesticks remained unseen and outside of combat.
If the target has not been feared recently, the target becomes terrified, plus dealing 6% (+1% per 50AP) of the target current health.
If the target has been terrified recently, it will instead inflict increasing damage. Dealing 12% (+2% per 50AP) of the target current health.
W Skill – Bountiful Harvest
Fiddlesticks drains the souls of nearby enemies, dealing damage per seconds for a duration of 2 seconds. With the final tick deals 12/14/16/80/20% of their missing health as magic damage whilst healing Fiddlesticks for 30/35/40/45/50% of the damage dealt before mitigation. Healing is reduced by half against minions.
On a completed channel or drained target dies, 60% of the remaining cooldown is refunded.
E Skill – Reap
Using his Scythe, Fiddlesticks unleashes dark magic, dealing 70/100/130/160/190 (+50% AP) and slowing enemies within a crescent shape area. If enemies are hit directly with the Scythe, they become silenced for the duration.
R Skill – Crowstorm
After channelling for 1.5 seconds, Fiddlesticks blinks to the target location unleashing murderous crows that flock wildly around him dealing devastating damage, lasting for 5 seconds.
If Fiddlesticks remains hidden and out of combat, it will trigger his Q passive, fearing his enemies.
Due to Fiddlesticks model changes and visuals, all of his skins have been updated to match his new characteristics. You can see all of Fiddlestick new skins from the link below.
The Return of Crittlesticks
Although, Fiddlesticks skills scale with AP, it hasn’t stopped the return of Crittlesticks. A popular build in previous seasons of League of Legends, where you provide Fiddlesticks with Crit Items.
This was highly effective due to Fiddlesticks Terrify skill. Once a target has been terrified, it provided Fiddlesticks with a window where he is able to get at least three free Auto Attacks without reply.
Now, supplying Fiddlesticks with Crit Items, allowed players to abuse this opportunity where his critical hits will eliminate champion easily.
Known streamer Foggedftw2 has already tested Crittlesticks, check out the video below.
