Shang Tsung

The character Shang Tsung joining the roster of MK11 shouldn’t come as a shock; the sorcerer has already been confirmed to enter Mortal Kombat before the game was released. At the time, Mortal Kombat official website had the fighter label as a DLC (Downloadable Content) character. We knew Shang Tsung will feature, but we haven’t known when, until now.

From the caption of the teased tweet, it is fair to say, Shang Tsung will be available tomorrow 31st May 2019.

Shao Kahn was the game first DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11 but it was exclusively available for users that had preordered the game. Shang Tsung will be the first DLC character since the game launched and is a very popular karacter of the franchise having debuted in the original Mortal Kombat game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is preparing for Kombat Pack 1, the games first season pass. The pack will feature 6 new upcoming DLC playable karacters with one of the DLC being Shang Tsung. The other five are yet to be revealed but due to a DLC leak prior to the game’s release showing nine upcoming DLC karacters, we have a good guess who to expect.

One name from the list Sheeva is almost certain to be included, as the fighter has been seen in some of MK11 promotional footage.

Check back as we bring you details of the unveiling in tomorrow announcement.
