During the League of Legends 10 Year Anniversary event, it was revealed that one of the most played MOBA games of all time is coming to Mobile and Console. For several years this has been everything, people, have been waiting for and it seems as if the wait will be over earlier than most of us expect. When the teaser was shown, it appeared as if the game was already polished and almost ready for release. Which begged the question, when will Wild Rift officially come out?

After the brief announcement was made, fans were able to place their names down and Preregister for access to the game’s alpha or beta once available. All providing you own an Android phone, IOS will be available in the App Store promptly. Some expect the first alpha and beta would start early this year as the official website states, “We are going to run limited alphas and betas in select countries starting soon.”

If they follow a similar direction as they have been handling the launches of Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics, it’s likely to start with a few days trials for those who get in. Moreover, the release for these fundamental sets of alpha/betas will more than likely begin in Quarter 1 2020.

Wild Rift Official Release Date

As of now, no firm date has been set. Nevertheless, the official website says, “The plan is to have the mobile version fully live in most regions by the end of 2020, with console coming sometime after.” With that in perspective, it seems as if it will reach regions such as China, Japan, Europe, and the United States by Quarter 4 of 2020 at the latest. If the beta trials work as intended it is likely that this version of the game could also be launched before then.

That’s going to be a monumental step for Riot Games and League of Legends. They will finally enter the mobile world, something that has been highly requested for, time and time again. The best part is many people will not have to wait too long. Although console users might not be so fortunate.
